Condition:
Very good condition for over 200 years old. Antique engraved print has been quite well preserved under glass with no tears, creases, or losses visible within the frame (seller has not removed from frame to check underneath.) Some large areas of foxing outside of print engraving's borders, some within impression area as shown; upper right and lower center to right are the heaviest foxing. Paper has discolored to mellow dark ivory over the past two hundred years, but coloring is still quite vibrant. Borghese frame with original wavy glass intact and labels on back **(NOTE: original frame glass has since been accidentally broken in storage, and will be removed prior to shipping, so will need replacement glass--price has been adjusted down to account for new glass replacement). One of the hanging wire eyelet screws has broken away during listing and will need replacement--simple fix, and will leave that to the buyer. Frame shows some finish wear, bumps and minor chip losses, but physically sturdy and intact. Tape backing has been previously removed. Beautiful and impressive display.
