Description:
Charming vintage miniature carved cinnabar resin snuff or perfume bottle depicts an intricate mountainous village scene.
- Vintage Miniature Snuff Bottle Carved Red Cinnabar Resin Village Scene 50s-60s
- Intricate carved detail on this miniature snuff bottle depicting a mountainous village
- Beautiful deep red coloring
- Brass base and brass collar; cap spoon is broken off at top hole and lodged in, and the cap is missing
- Foil sticker on bottom: Made in Taiwan; also, foreign markings on the brass bottom base, under the sticker
- I believe this snuff bottle to be resin, BUT the test for it showed it to be genuine cinnabar (test used was rubbing a cotton swab dipped in nail polish remover on an inconspicuous area--if it turned red, it signifies genuine cinnabar, which is my result)
- Circa 1950s-1960s
- Snuff bottle measures 1.75" wide x 2.75" high x .75" deep
- Weighs 2 ozs.
- Vintage miniature carved cinnabar resin snuff bottle in very good condition with light wear, EXCEPT for the cap, which has broken off at the top hole and is missing. No other issues or damage.
