- Vintage wooden butler chair is in fair to good condition with wear and tear from age, use, and storage. Wood chair structure is in good condition, legs, seat, and pole are sturdy; wood finish shows a bit of wear and flaking; shoulder hanger is a bit wobbly; vinyl seat covering is in fair condition with wear, fading, and a few poke holes and splits; interior red-flocked plastic lining is brittle and deteriorating a bit, and holds a mildew odor, probably should be removed and/or replaced; rubber-wrapped metal tie rack finish is somewhat worn and pitted. Overall chair is nice and sturdy except for the wobbly shoulder hanger, but would benefit from a bit of restoration to bring it back to its former glory.
