Rare and unique vintage coal mine emergency equipment, museum-quality piece--repurpose to use as a hide-a-bed or stow-away cot when not needed.
Rare vintage miner's safety emergency stretcher outfit for use in the old days of coal mining should a medical emergency have happened down in the mines.
This one appears to never have been used, though storage throughout the years has given the exterior of the storage tube a bump or bruise here and there. Stretcher cot is in like-new condition, as is the original wool blanket, still with tag attached.

Perfect for use as a hide-a-bed, or extra guest bed in an industrial or steampunk setting (tube is extra long at 7.5 feet in length, though, and very heavy, so use caution for safe storage when not in use)
Outfit includes a heavy canvas stretcher with wood handles and metal support brackets, a black wool blanket with original packaging tag, and a galvanized metal storage tube with lid and original MSA decal.

Heavy, faceted galvanized metal tube with handled cap, fits tightly for prolonged storage (kept the cot and blanket in excellent condition for many, many years)
Stretcher canvas measures 69" long, 90" long with wood handles, by 21" wide
Metal storage tube measures 93" long total by 10" diameter
Unsure of the exact date of manufacture--see decal and galvanized pipe
This is an awesome, museum-quality piece of collectable miner's safety equipment, kept in excellent preserved condition for many, many years. The only issues are on the exterior tube from haphazard storage (dents on the tube and missing portion of decal).
