On sides--Victor, Loaded Shells, No. 5536 Ch, 2 1/2-1-6 Ch, SMOKELESS, RUSTLESS; (in red) Peters GA LOADED SHELLS

On front and back--US ARMS AMMUNITION, ___________(?), Peters Cartridge Co. (large script), Cincinnati, O., U.S.A., Loaded Paper Shells, Metallic Ammunition, Primers, Gun Wads.

All wood construction; original nails; beautiful aged patina

Cut-in handles on both sides for carrying

Ammo box measures 14" long x 8.5" wide by 8"+ high

Condition:

Antique ammo box in good condition with wear from age and use. Faded red and black graphics as seen in pics. Some losses and splits in wood, see separation and splits at corner and front; splits in bottom slats. One nail misaligned ages ago and bent through the side as shown in pics. Box is still intact and sturdy. Beautiful aged patina. Wood is dry and needs a good conditioning.
