Hand-hooked chair or stool cover

Made of cotton (?) rag strips on burlap base

Flower and leaf design with greens, blues, pink, black on white background (now yellowed from age)

Square seat cover with cutout corners

Circa early 1900s

Measures 14" x 14" which includes cutout corners

Weighs 9.10 ozs

Antique hand-hooked stool or chair cover in fair condition with significant deterioration from age and use. Discolored and soiled; has not been laundered. Frayed, raveling, and deteriorated edges. Burlap backing has wear, fraying and deterioration on all edges. Loose, pulled, or missing stitches here and there throughout. Significant yellowing and fading from age; design and color on bottom is brighter than on top. This collectable antique textile, formerly some type of seat cover, will make a nice rustic wall hanging if cleaned and framed.
